Allergies in the Fall?
Fall Allergies in Sonoma County
As the season moves from summer into fall in Sonoma County, many people notice they are coughing, getting sinusitis, or having other allergy symptoms. Their symptoms may have started with weed pollens which are airborne from July through October. Be-tween August and October, when the grapes are being harvested, additional debris is in the air. Both of these issues can aggravate the sinuses causing allergy symptoms to be more noticeable.
This is a good time of year to come to the clinic. At the clinic, we test for reactions to items in the air and also have patients bring in water samples to see if there are additional allergens to which you may be having a reaction.
Check for Imbalances that Cause More Allergy Symptoms
The clinic always checks for imbalances that contribute to in-creased allergy symptoms. These can come from toxins in foods or the environment, liver imbalances, an overwhelmed or depleted immune system, or other health issues. In many cases, we use nutritional formulas specific to the imbalance to manage or resolve these issues.
If you have other health issues besides fall allergy symptoms, the clinic can assess those issues as well.
If you, or anyone you know, is uncomfortable in taking pharmaceu-tical medications or is looking for other health options besides medications, the clinic would love to talk with you. We believe in the benefits of medications, however, it is also the belief of this clin-ic that correcting functional imbalances with nutritional formulas specific to the existing imbalance can also be part of the health program. This is called integrated or functional medicine.
