Top Causes of Headaches

Tension. Tension headaches are from structural issues within the neck, coming from the spine or muscles in the neck.

Weather Pressure. This can be due to a sensitivity in pressure changes and/or it may be due to a mineral deficiency in the body. One patient came in with severe headaches with pressure changes. She had to take time off from work because they were so bad. We figured out what mineral she was deficient in and what the dosage was and her headaches went away.

Environmental toxins. Recently, there has been a new toxin in the environment since October 2022 that we’ve been testing for. This toxin has some common symptoms that we see. It accumulates from the top of the neck to the bottom of the neck. The symptoms are a vague or painful headache, sometimes more in the morning. It can get into the lungs and also the hypothalamus. When it gets in the hypothalamus, it may cause the person to be overreactive to conditions in his life.

One of my patients travels, so she was not able to come in for a while. She got headaches from this toxin and it spread to one side of her head. This made the skin on one side of her face feel strange. We did a very aggressive detox, and all of that was resolved.

This toxin may cause pain in the area where it is located. For example, If it is in the lungs, then it may increase the difficulty in breathing.

Hormones. These headaches may not respond to the type of painkillers that are used over the counter, such as Advil. They may last for several days and can be quite painful. Some patients use migraine medicine successfully.

I have had these headaches even after menopause and finally figured out how to prevent them. Our environment has chemicals that hormonally dysregulate the body. This is where the problem comes in.

Commonly, women’s hormones, especially after menopaus,e are not balanced. Normally, detoxing the patient is the solution that has worked in the last couple of years. Keeping the hormones regulated by detoxing out the chemicals is a very effective remedy for preventing these headaches.
