High Estrogen in Men

There’s an estrogenic chemical called atrazine found in our tap water. I discussed the effects of a substitute estrogen in women in this post. It may cause the natural estrogen to fall rather quickly with exposure to the water. Symptoms again for women are low motivation, low sex drive, hot flashes, dry skin, fatigue, and brain fog.

Atrazine is an estrogenic chemical that is high in some people’s water. I highly suggest filtering your tap water or drink bottled water, such as Fiji. Check out my resources page for filter products. Patients with well water are not having less exposure to toxins in the water.

But What About Men?

I’ve treated several men due to this chemical. One man saught help with fat metabolism issues. Turns out this chemical was affecting his liver, causing thick bile to build up. His symptoms were bloating, gas, and burping.

A second man was having ED issues. When I tested him, he was low in testosterone and high in estrogen. I recommended a detox. Another man had low mood and depression. He also had low testosterone and high estrogen. A detox was recommended here as well.

Signs and Symptoms of High Estrogen in Men:

• Low Mood, irritability, depression
• Discouragement, pessimism
• Loss of energy, strength, stamina
• Withdrawal from activities and relationships
• Concentration and memory difficulties; brain fog
• Less productive at work, decreased initiative, motivation, drive
• Sweet and carb cravings, blood sugar problems, Insulin
• Resistance, increased risk for Diabetes
• Weight gain, central weight gain
• Gradually increasing fatigue
• Decrease in spontaneous morning erections
• Loss of libido
• Erectile dysfunction (ED)Muscle soreness, weakness, decreased
• muscle tone
• Decreased lean muscle mass
• Sleep problems
• Need to shave less frequently/decrease in body hair
• Increased fat distribution in hips, breasts, & thighs
• Increased cholesterol and triglycerides
• Elevated blood pressure
• Increased risk for cardiovascular disease
• Skin problems, thinning and dry skin
• Prostate problems and urinary problems
• Osteoporosis
