Common and Uncommon Symptoms of Pollen Allergies

Every year, I like to remind people of the top uncommon symptoms of pollen allergies. We all know about classic hay fever symptoms, including itchy eyes, nose, throat, mucous production, and even asthma. However, there are several uncommon pollen allergy symptoms, like:
- Brain Fog
- Fatigue
- Headaches
- Shortness of Breath
- Skin reactions
These little-known symptoms from pollen allergies do appear in my office every year. Many patients come in with fatigue that resolves very quickly with my allergy relief therapies.
Symptoms may change. Some people go from hay fever to asthma, or from hay fever to headaches. This is something to keep in mind as well.
Usually, every year, at least one patient comes into the office with skin issues caused by seasonal allergies.
Some of my patients haven’t been in for many years; however, there are new pollens this year. Because of this, they are bringing the pollen samples from their homes into the office for clearing.
If you have pollen reactions and have already been in the office, you may collect pollens in your yard by keeping a bowl of water outside for at least four days and bringing in the sample.
We offer a free phone or office consultation if you’re looking for a natural allergy solution. To make an appointment, call (707) 527-7710 or click here to make an appointment on-line.
